And, between 11am and 5pm, we offer a selection of Cakes, Ice Creams, Hot and Cold Drinks and Paninis in addition to our Thai fine dining menu.

The Wee Choo-Choo offers an unforgettable journey through the vibrant flavours of authentic Thai cuisine. Mia and Isara McCallum, our Daughter-and-Mother team, own and operate the restaurant. Mia McCallum is from Phuket, Southern Thailand, and is passionate about ensuring that you enjoy impeccable service and a wonderful dining experience. Isara is our main chef, also born in Southern Thailand, and she brings her love for traditional Thai cooking to the heart of Highland Perthshire. Isara and Mia are Thai and Scottish and have lived and worked in Pitlochry since 2017.

Our wonderful restaurant is a destination in its own right. Step aboard our beautifully restored 1960s Norwegian railway carriage which has been lovingly restored to a bygone age of luxury and glamour and sits in the shadow of the Victorian station in this beautiful Highland Perthshire Town of Pitlochry. The carriage has an interesting history which you can learn all about when you visit.

Whether you are after a cup of coffee and a piece of indulgent cake, or an authentic Thai Rose Butterfly Pea tea you will find yourself spoilt for choice.

We serve beautiful ice creams and desserts, savoury paninis and wraps together with a wide range of hot and chilled drinks. And you can eat in or take away.

There’s no need to book for our daytime menu – just pop aboard and soak up the atmosphere and the flavours.

The Wee Choo Choo is a train that was used in a movie which has been kitted out to create a high end dining experience. The service was professional and charming and the food was cooked to perfection. We had the special Thai drinks which were first class and felt very luxurious. Overall a superb dining experience for a special occasion.

This place is definitely going to be a top attraction in Pitlochry soon! Popped in for a coffee, given some complimentary biscuits on the side 🙂 Met the lovely lady and her daughter who run the place together, they are very nice, friendly and make you feel welcome. Definitely will be back when I am in Pitlochry next time 😃
